No coronavirus deaths at Great Western Hospital for a week

The latest report from NHS England has revealed that there has been no further deaths reported at Great Western Hospital from coronavirus in the last 24 hours. This is the seventh day in a row since any further deaths were reported at the hospital. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the outbreak remains at 124. These figures are correct up to 5pm yesterday.

As of 5.40pm today there have been no new confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours in Swindon for the last two days meaning the total remains at 736 since the start of the outbreak. In Wiltshire there has been five new cases, meaning the amount of people who have tested positive in Wiltshire has risen to 1,238. These figures are split by local authority.

These local authority figures went up massively on Thursday after Public Health England started to include the cumulative 'community' testing of Pillar Two in the figure, which included historic data going back to the start of the outbreak. You can read the details of this here

UK-wide, as of 9am on 4 July, 284,900 people have tested positive. This is a rise 624 positive tests since the day before.

As of 5pm on 3 July, of those tested positive for coronavirus, across all settings, 44,198 have died. This is a rise of 67 since the day before.
