No further coronavirus deaths at GWH for ninth day running

The latest report from NHS England has revealed that there has been no further deaths reported at Great Western Hospital from coronavirus in the last 24 hours. This is the ninth day in a row since any further deaths were reported at the hospital. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the outbreak remains at 124. The last death reported was on 26 June. These figures are correct up to 5pm yesterday.

As of 3.59pm today there has been two new confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours in Swindon meaning the total has risen to 739 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In Wiltshire there has been no new cases, meaning the amount of people who have tested positive in Wiltshire remains at 1,239. These figures are split by local authority.

UK-wide, as of 9am on 6 July, 285,768 people have tested positive. This is a rise of 352 positive tests since the day before.

As of 5pm on 5 July, of those tested positive for coronavirus, across all settings, 44,236 have died. This is a rise of 16 since the day before.
