Good news at GWH as no further coronavirus deaths reported in latest figures

The latest report from NHS England has revealed that there has been no further deaths reported at Great Western Hospital from coronavirus in the last 24 hours. This is the second day in a row that there has been no further deaths. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the outbreak remains at 125. These figures are correct up to 5pm yesterday.

As of 4.04pm today there has been two new confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours in Swindon meaning the total has risen to 745 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In Wiltshire there has been five new cases, meaning the amount of people who have tested positive in Wiltshire has risen to 1,246. These figures are split by local authority.

As of 9am on 9 July, 287,621 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This is a rise of 642 positive tests since the day before.

As of 5pm on 8 July, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK, 44,602 have died across all settings. This is an increase of 85 since the day before.
