No further deaths at GWH for twelfth day running as entire South West region also sees no further deaths

The latest report from NHS England has revealed that there has been no further deaths at Great Western Hospital from coronavirus in the last 24 hours. This is now the twelfth day running without a death meaning the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the outbreak began remains at 122. There has not been a coronavirus death reported at the hospital since 12 June. These figures are correct up to 5pm yesterday. According to the same figures there has not been a coronavirus related death in the South West region for the past two days as well.

As of 5.03pm today there has been no new confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours in Swindon meaning the total remains at 467 since the start of the outbreak. The last confirmed case in Swindon was on Monday. In Wiltshire there has also been no new cases meaning the amount of people that have tested positive in Wiltshire remains at 546. These figures are split by local authority.

UK-wide as of 9am on 25 June, there have been 8,710,292 tests, with 167,023 tests on 24 June.

307,980 people have tested positive. This is an increase of 1,118 confirmed cases since the day before.

As of 5pm on 24 June, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK, across all settings, 43,230 have died. This is a rise of 149 since the day before.
