One further coronavirus death at GWH

The latest NHS England figures have reported that there has been one further coronavirus death at Swindon's Great Western Hospital. The death is reported to have happened yesterday and brings the total death toll at the hospital to 115.

As of 4.36pm yesterday there hav been 449 people testing positive for coronavirus in Swindon and 523 in Wiltshire. These figures are split by local authority.

UK-wide as of 9am on 28 May, there have been 3,918,079 tests, with 119,587 tests on 27 May.

269,127 people have tested positive. A rise of 1,887 in the last 24 hours.

As of 5pm on 27 May, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK, 37,837 have died. A rise of 377 from the day before. This new figure includes deaths in all settings, not just in hospitals. The equivalent figure under the old measure would have been 30,391.
