One more death at GWH brings total coronavirus death toll to 141 at the hospital

The latest report from NHS England has revealed one death from coronavirus has been reported at Great Western Hospital in the last 24 hours. According to the report the death occurred yesterday on 6 November. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the outbreak remains at 141. These figures are correct up to 4pm yesterday. There have been five deaths reported at Great Western Hospital in the last seven days.

As of 4pm today there have been 43 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the last 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total has risen to 2,576 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the last seven days there have been 336 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there have been 41 new cases in the past 24 hours, meaning the number of people who have tested positive in Wiltshire is 3,602. This means that in the last seven days there have been 460 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire. These figures are split by local authority. Please note that these new cases are the figures reported by Public Health England and do not take into account delays in the return of positive test results.

As of 9am on 7 November, 1,171,411 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This is a rise of 24,957 positive tests in the last 24 hours.

As of 5pm on 6 November, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 48,888 have died across all settings. This is an increase of 413.
