Four more Swindon coronavirus cases as UK reports another record number

The latest report from NHS England has revealed that there has been no further deaths reported at Great Western Hospital from coronavirus in the last 24 hours. It has now been three days since a death was reported the hospital. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the outbreak remains at 129. These figures are correct up to 4pm yesterday.

As of 4.04pm today there has been four new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the last 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total has risen to 1,367 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the last seven days there have been 32 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there have been 13 new cases in the past 24 hours, meaning the number of people who have tested positive in Wiltshire is 1,610. This means that in the last seven days there have been 61 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire. These figures are split by local authority. Please note that these new cases are the figures reported by Public Health England and do not take into account delays in the return of positive test results.

As of 9am on 25 September, 423,236 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This is a rise of 6,874 positive tests in the last 24 hours.

As of 5pm on 24 September, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 41,936 have died across all settings. This is an increase of 35. Today's numbers do not include the death figures for Scotland due to a power outage.
