May 13 Update: Swindon reports eight new covid cases

The latest report from NHS England has revealed that there have been no deaths from covid reported at Great Western Hospital in the last 24 hours. It has been two days since the last such death was reported. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the start of the outbreak remains at 323. These figures are correct up to 4pm yesterday.

According to the data released at 4pm today there have been 8 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the last 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total has risen to 11,582 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the last seven days there have been 46 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there have been 7 new cases in the past 24 hours, meaning the number of people who have tested positive in Wiltshire is 17,419. This means that in the last seven days there have been 77 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire. These figures are split by local authority. Please note that these new cases are the figures reported by Public Health England and do not take into account delays in the return of positive test results.

As of 9am on 13 May, 4,444,631 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This is a rise of 2,657 positive tests in the last 24 hours.

As of 5pm on 12 May, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 127,651 have died across all settings. This is an increase of 11.
