Covid death toll at Swindon's GWH rises by one to 144

The latest report from NHS England has revealed that a death from coronavirus has been reported at Great Western Hospital in the last 24 hours. According to the data, the death occurred on Wednesday, 11 November. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the outbreak has risen to 144. These figures are correct up to 4pm yesterday.

As of 4pm today there have been 73 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the last 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total has risen to 2,973 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the last seven days there have been 440 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there have been 77 new cases in the past 24 hours, meaning the number of people who have tested positive in Wiltshire is 4,019. This means that in the last seven days there have been 458 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire. These figures are split by local authority. Please note that these new cases are the figures reported by Public Health England and do not take into account delays in the return of positive test results.

As of 9am on 13 November, 1,317,496 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This is a rise of 27,301 positive tests in the last 24 hours.

As of 5pm on 12 November, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 51,304 have died across all settings. This is an increase of 376.
