Apr 14 update: No further GWH covid deaths and just two new Swindon cases

The latest report from NHS England has revealed that no deaths from covid have been reported at Great Western Hospital in the last 24 hours. It is four days since the last such death was reported. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the start of the outbreak remains at 320. These figures are correct up to 4pm yesterday.

According to the data released following a change to how the data was managed on Friday, as of 4pm today there have been 2 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the last 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total has risen to 11,332 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the last seven days there have been 46 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there have been 9 new cases in the past 24 hours, meaning the number of people who have tested positive in Wiltshire is 17,092. This means that in the last seven days there have been 61 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire. These figures are split by local authority. Please note that these new cases are the figures reported by Public Health England and do not take into account delays in the return of positive test results.

As of 9am on 14 April, 4,378,305 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This is a rise of 2,491 positive tests in the last 24 hours.

As of 5pm on 13 April, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 127,161 have died across all settings. This is an increase of 38.
