May 15 Update: Swindon reports four new covid cases

As of 14 May, local details of covid deaths and related data are published every weekday rather than every day. The next update regarding Great Western Hospital will therefore appear on Monday, 17 May, and its official total remains at 323.

According to the data released at 4pm today there have been 4 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the last 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total has risen to 11,589 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the last seven days there have been 37 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there have been 4 new cases in the past 24 hours, meaning the number of people who have tested positive in Wiltshire is 17,435. This means that in the last seven days there have been 69 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire. These figures are split by local authority. Please note that these new cases are the figures reported by Public Health England and do not take into account delays in the return of positive test results.

As of 9am on 15 May, 4,448,851 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This is a rise of 2,027 positive tests in the last 24 hours.

As of 5pm on 14 May, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 127,675 have died across all settings. This is an increase of 7.
