The latest report from NHS England has revealed that there have been no deaths from covid reported at Great Western Hospital in the last 24 hours. It has been 66 days since the last such death was reported. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the start of the outbreak remains at 323. These figures are correct up to 4pm yesterday.
According to the data released at 4pm today there have been 157 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the last 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total has risen to 13,466 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the last seven days there have been 765 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there have been 316 new cases in the past 24 hours, meaning the number of people who have tested positive in Wiltshire is 21,362. This means that in the last seven days there have been 1,523 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire. These figures are split by local authority. Please note that these new cases are the figures reported by Public Health England and do not take into account delays in the return of positive test results.
As of 9am on 16 July, 5,332,371 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This is a rise of 51,870 positive tests in the last 24 hours.
As of 5pm on 15 July, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 128,642 have died across all settings. This is an increase of 49.
