Another covid death at GWH brings total to 145

The latest report from NHS England has revealed that a death from coronavirus has been reported at Great Western Hospital in the last 24 hours. According to the data, the death occurred on Saturday, 14 November. It is three days since the last such report. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the outbreak began has risen to 145. These figures are correct up to 4pm yesterday.

Public Health England has updated the way it records the location of people who have been tested for covid-19. Counts of cases and deaths at sub-national level have been updated to reflect this.

As of 6.31pm today there have been 107 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the last 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total has risen to 3,286 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the last seven days there have been 602 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire the official number of people who have tested positive is now 4,066, which is 257 less than yesterday. This means that in the last seven days there have been 351 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire. These figures are split by local authority. Please note that these new cases are the figures reported by Public Health England and do not take into account delays in the return of positive test results.

As of 9am on 16 November, 1,390,681 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This is a rise of 21,363 positive tests in the last 24 hours.

As of 5pm on 15 November, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 52,147 have died across all settings. This is an increase of 213.
