June 17 Update: 18 new Swindon covid cases as national total rises by 11,007

The latest report from NHS England has revealed that there have been no deaths from covid reported at Great Western Hospital in the last 24 hours. It has been 37 days since the last such death was reported. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the start of the outbreak remains at 323. These figures are correct up to 4pm yesterday.

According to the data released at 4pm today there have been 18 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the last 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total has risen to 11,851 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the last seven days there have been 120 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there have been 50 new cases in the past 24 hours, meaning the number of people who have tested positive in Wiltshire is 17,826. This means that in the last seven days there have been 204 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire. These figures are split by local authority. Please note that these new cases are the figures reported by Public Health England and do not take into account delays in the return of positive test results.
 

As of 9am on 17 June, 4,600,623 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This is a rise of 11,007 positive tests in the last 24 hours.

As of 5pm on 16 June, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 127,945 have died across all settings. This is an increase of 19.
