The latest report from NHS England has revealed that no deaths from coronavirus have been reported at Great Western Hospital in the last 24 hours. It is nine days since the last death was reported. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the outbreak remains at 130. These figures are correct up to 4pm yesterday.
As of 4.18pm today there have been 35 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the last 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total has risen to 1,684 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the last seven days there have been 145 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there have been 76 new cases in the past 24 hours, meaning the number of people who have tested positive in Wiltshire is 2,370. This means that in the last seven days there have been 335 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire. These figures are split by local authority. Please note that these new cases are the figures reported by Public Health England and do not take into account delays in the return of positive test results.
As of 9am on 20 October, 762,542 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This is a rise of 21,331 positive tests in the last 24 hours.
As of 5pm on 19 October, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 43,967 have died across all settings. This is an increase of 241.
