The latest report from NHS England has revealed that no deaths from coronavirus have been reported at Great Western Hospital in the last 24 hours. It is 10 days since the last death was reported. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the outbreak remains at 130. These figures are correct up to 4pm yesterday.
As of 4.43pm today there have been 30 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the last 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total has risen to 1,714 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the last seven days there have been 161 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there have been 69 new cases in the past 24 hours, meaning the number of people who have tested positive in Wiltshire is 2,439. This means that in the last seven days there have been 350 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire. These figures are split by local authority. Please note that these new cases are the figures reported by Public Health England and do not take into account delays in the return of positive test results.
As of 9am on 21 October, 789,229 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This is a rise of 26,688 positive tests in the last 24 hours.
As of 5pm on 20 October, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 44,158 have died across all settings. This is an increase of 191.
