Another covid death recorded at Great Western Hospital

The latest report from NHS England has revealed that a death from coronavirus has been reported at Great Western Hospital in the last 24 hours. It is the first such death to be reported at the hospital since two were reported three days ago. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the outbreak is 133. These figures are correct up to 4pm yesterday.

As of 5.29pm today there have been 25 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the last 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total has risen to 1,907 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the last seven days there have been 258 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there have been 60 new cases in the past 24 hours, meaning the number of people who have tested positive in Wiltshire is 2,789. This means that in the last seven days there have been 495 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire. These figures are split by local authority. Please note that these new cases are the figures reported by Public Health England and do not take into account delays in the return of positive test results.

As of 9am on 26 October, 894,690 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This is a rise of 20,890 positive tests in the last 24 hours.

As of 5pm on 25 October, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 44,998 have died across all settings. This is an increase of 102.
