Another GWH covid death means total for Swindon hospital is 154

The latest report from NHS England has revealed that a death from coronavirus has been reported at Great Western Hospital in the last 24 hours. It is one day since the last such report, which involved two deaths. According to the data, the most recently-reported death occurred - as did the two reported yesterday - on Wednesday, 25 November. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the outbreak began has increased to 154. These figures are correct up to 4pm yesterday.

As of 4pm today there have been 57 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the last 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total has risen to 3,802 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the last seven days there have been 324 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there have been 49 new cases in the past 24 hours, meaning the number of people who have tested positive in Wiltshire is 4,886. This means that in the last seven days there have been 461 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire. These figures are split by local authority. Please note that these new cases are the figures reported by Public Health England and do not take into account delays in the return of positive test results.

As of 9am on 27 November, 1,589,301 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This is a rise of 16,022 positive tests in the last 24 hours.

As of 5pm on 26 November, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 57,551 have died across all settings. This is an increase of 521.
