The latest report from NHS England has revealed that a death from covid has been reported at Great Western Hospital. According to the data, it happened on 10 October. It has been one day since the last such death was reported. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the start of the outbreak has risen to 356. These figures are correct up to 4pm yesterday.
According to the data released today at 4pm, there were 69 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the previous 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total rose to 23,345 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the previous seven days there were 540 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there had been 293 new cases in the previous 24 hours, meaning the number of people who had tested positive in Wiltshire was 42,019. This meant that in the previous seven days there had been been 2,011 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire.
As of 9am on 12 October, 8,231,437 people had tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This was a rise of 38,520 positive tests in the past 24 hours.
As of 5pm on 11 October, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 137,944 had died across all settings. This was an increase of 181.
