January 21 update: 467 further Swindon covid cases

The latest report from NHS England has revealed that no further deaths from covid have been reported at Great Western Hospital. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the start of the outbreak remains at 416. These figures are correct up to 4pm on 20 January.

According to the data released today at 4pm, there were 467 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the previous 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total rose to 49,746 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the previous seven days there were 2,712 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there had been 677 new cases in the previous 24 hours, meaning the number of people who had tested positive in Wiltshire was 95,357. This meant that in the previous seven days there had been been 4,439 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire. 

All figures are split by local authority. Please note that new cases are the figures reported by Public Health England and do not take into account delays in the return of positive test results.
 

As of 9am on 21 January, 15,709,059 people had tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This was a rise of 95,787 positive tests in the past 24 hours.

As of 5pm on 20 January, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 153,490 had died across all settings. This was an increase of 288.
