November 22 update: GWH reports a further Swindon covid death

The latest report from NHS England has revealed that a death from covid has been reported at Great Western Hospital. According to the data, it occurred on 19 November. It has been six days since the last such deaths were reported. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the start of the outbreak has risen to 382. These figures are correct up to 4pm on 21 November.

According to the data released today at 4pm, there were 128 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the previous 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total rose to 31,484 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the previous seven days there were 824 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there had been 367 new cases in the previous 24 hours, meaning the number of people who had tested positive in Wiltshire was 60,239. This meant that in the previous seven days there had been been 2,936 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire. 

All figures are split by local authority. Please note that new cases are the figures reported by Public Health England and do not take into account delays in the return of positive test results.
 

As of 9am on 22 November, 9,889,926 people had tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This was a rise of 44,917 positive tests in the past 24 hours.

As of 5pm on 21 November, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 143,972 had died across all settings. This was an increase of 45.
