A man is currently in custody after he failed to stop at the scene of a collision and fled the scene before hiding from police for over an hour.

At approximately 12.45am this morning (06/07), officers were called to an incident in Beechcroft Road following concerns regarding an ongoing domestic dispute.
A man in his 30s was reported to have assaulted a woman in her 20s and a man in his 30s before making off in a van.
A short while later, officers sighted the van on Thamesdown Drive, where the vehicle was seen to crash into a road sign.

He was taken to Gablecross custody where he remains for questioning.
Anyone who witnessed a white Ford Transit van in the Thamesdown Drive area during the early hours of this morning should call 101 and quote crime reference number 54200065278.
