Police widen net to catch thieves who stole £6,000 of fishing gear

Wiltshire Police are investigating a shed burglary in Moredon Road, Swindon in which thousands of pounds of fishing gear was stolen.

At some point between 4pm on Sunday 27 January and 6.30pm Monday 28 January thieves forced entry to the shed and stole the following items:

  • Shimano Aero Technium reel
  • Trakker rod sleeve
  • Trakker tempest bivvy
  • Century landing net
  • Century  graphene spod rod 12ft
  • Century Graphene-12ft Carp Rod
Images of some of the stolen items with a total value of £6,000  are attached.

Local Crime Investigator Veneta Hannibal said: "The victim is understandably upset following the break in and theft of the fishing gear.  If you are aware of anyone offering these items for sale please contact us. Equally if you were in the area and saw any suspicious activity, come forward and help us to identify those responsible."
