Wiltshire Police are appealing for the public’s help in identifying a man they’d like to speak to in connection with a theft from Marks and Spencer.

At approximately 6pm on 14 December, a man entered the shop in Regent Street.

He spent approximately 30 minutes in the store, and during this time, he was seen to speak to an older man with white hair who was wearing a black jumper. Enquiries are ongoing to determine whether the pair are known to each other.

The man then went into the café which was closed at the time, and forced open the till, taking a large quantity of cash in notes. The exact amount is unknown at this time.

The man is described as wearing a flat cap, chunky parka with a fur collar and a checked shirt.

A CCTV image is attached.

Anyone with information should call 101 and quote crime reference number 54180118414.
