An update on the major improvement project at Fleming Way has been issued by Swindon Borough Council.

Work is continuing at the western end of the major road, with construction taking place on Holbrook Way and Cheltenham Street.

A new pedestrian crossing on Holbrook Way has been installed, and ducting for new street lighting, traffic signals and kerbing is in place on Cheltenham Street.

Over the next month, new drainage, kerbs, paving and pedestrian crossings will be installed at Beales Close and Cheltenham Street. Old tarmac will be removed on the two roads, with new tarmac then being laid.

Holbrook Way will also see the installation of traffic signal and communication ducts.

The road closure and diversion will remain in place for one month, and the closures and diversions, according to the council, will be clearly sign-posted.
