Firearm possession arrests in Swindon

Two people were arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence during a police operation in North Swindon today.

Yesterday - 21 September - the police we received a report of a disorder in the Moredon area, where threats were made but nobody was injured.
At around 1pm today, officers, including armed response personnel, went to an address in Horta Close.
Two men, aged 23 and 25, were arrested and are currently in police custody.
A force spokesperson said: "People living locally may see a police presence in and around the address during this afternoon, but please be reassured there is no risk to the public."
