Staff at GWH confirm that although Monday 19 September will be a national Bank Holiday, the hospital will continue to run its clinical activity as normal.

The Queen’s funeral, will be taking place on Monday, 19 September, and will be a national Bank Holiday.

Staff at GWH say as the hospital has a large number of patients booked in for treatment this day, they will be continuing to run clinical activity as normal on the Bank Holiday Monday, to avoid delaying their care.

A spokesperson from GWH said: "We understand and respect the sensitivities presented by the recent sad news, and are in the process of contacting each patient directly to confirm whether or not they are able to attend."

Parking will also be free for all patients and staff on Monday, 19 September.
