From today - 10 Jan - staff at GWH have announced patients will now be able to view all appointments on the NHS app.
The Great Western Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has become one of the first trusts in the country to be visible through the app.
Staff say that thanks to a collaboration between its patient portal (DrDoctor) and NHS Digital, this new addition will aim to allow greater visibility and communication of appointments.
The GWH team add that they hope the app function will reduce the number of unwanted appointments.
A spokesperson from GWH added: "If patients need to amend appointments, they will be directed from the NHS app back to DrDoctor."
