The GWH team say they are committed to raising awareness of sepsis and are highlighting the next upcoming Sepsis Support Group in Swindon.

The hospital says the Acute Sepsis and Kidney Team (ASK Team) are ever on the pursuit of ensuring the utmost care for its local community, and raising awareness of the symptoms for sepsis.

The ASK team say raising awareness will help residents respond quickly and get the necessary treatment that they need.

People can be affected by sepsis in many different ways and the ASK team work with The Sepsis Trust and volunteers, to run a small and friendly sepsis support group.

A spokesperson said: "If you or a loved one has had sepsis, or you have been affected by sepsis, come along and share your experiences at one of our support groups with people who understand the challenges you may have faced and may still be facing as a result of sepsis."

The next upcoming sepsis support session is taking place on Wednesday 8 June, from 7 - 8:30pm at the Orbital Shopping Centre.
