Staff at GWH are working alongside students from Swindon College to provide activity sessions to benefit some of the hospital's patients.
Health and Social Care students from Swindon College have been volunteering on GWH wards every week to support patients with meaningful activity sessions.
The hospital's staff have been working alongside the students to put together and host a programme that aims to look at how to get patients out of bed, and spending time doing something they will enjoy.
The hospital's staff added that they hope these activities will bring enrichment to their patients, and help to reduce their time spent in hospital, encouraging a quicker recovery.
GWH's charity Brighter Futures have donated 'Meaningful Activity' trolleys with games and prizes, to help support this initiative.
