The virtual meeting, taking place on Tuesday 29 September, will provide an opportunity to hear more about the trust’s response to the unprecedented impact of the pandemic.

This, the trust says, will include an overview of the number of patients treated for the virus, lessons from the first wave which will help preparations for any further waves and an understanding of the trust’s plan to restart service and re-book all patients waiting for treatment.

The Annual Members’ Meeting will also address the trust’s performance against national targets, successes from the past year and plans for the future, including an update on the site expansion plans and improvement work underway for urgent and emergency care services.

Due to important safety measures around social distancing and to reduce footfall at the hospital site, this year’s Annual Members’ Meeting will be taking place digitally, through Microsoft Teams Live.

Attendees should be aware that they do not need to have an MS Teams account to join the meeting.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to put their questions to members of the Trust Board, which will be answered during the meeting. Questions should be submitted beforehand but there will be opportunity to ask questions live during the event.

Would-be attendees should contact the membership office by Wednesday, 16 September. They should also contact the office to send questions in advance or to request a copy of the annual report and accounts prior to the meeting.

Further details will then be forwarded.

The office can be contacted at [email protected], on 01793 604173 and at FT Membership, The Great Western Hospital, FREEPOST (RRKZ-KAYR-YRRU) Swindon SN3 6BB.
