The deadline for applications to be the new Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Managing Director is tomorrow - Friday 3 January.

The trust says it is searching for a suitable person to join it at a pivotal and exciting moment in its journey as part of the BSW Hospitals Group, alongside the acute trusts in Bath and Salisbury.
A spokesperson said in a message to would-be candidates: "Together, we are transforming healthcare delivery — enhancing patient care, optimising resources, and setting a new standard for outstanding health services.
"As Managing Director, you will be at the helm of day-to-day operations at our Trust, responsible for leadership, management and performance. With over 5,500 skilled, compassionate and motivated staff, we are one of the region’s largest employers — a progressive foundation trust handling 1.2 million patient contacts and turning over £511 million every year.
"We’re seeking a leader who can build on our achievements and drive forward our ambitions for both the Trust and the wider BSW Hospitals Group.
"You’ll embody our values — service, teamwork, ambition, and respect — and bring a dynamic, forward-thinking approach to shaping the future of healthcare in our communities."
The trust describes the vacancy as a remarkable opportunity to make a real difference, reducing health inequalities, promoting opportunities, and improving both patient outcomes and staff experiences.
If you have the expertise, vision, and determination to lead our exceptional organisation, we’d love to hear from you.
