Swindon's Great Western Hospital has announced that it is experiencing a power outage.
Affected areas of the hospital include the Urgent Treatment Centre.
A spokesperson said: "Our Emergency Department and Urgent Treatment Centre are both currently affected, so patients with a serious medical condition must phone NHS 111 or 999 in an emergency.
"Planned appointments are currently postponed. If you have a planned appointment at the hospital today, please do not attend and we will contact you at the earliest opportunity to re-arrange. Our switchboard is currently also affected.
"Please do not come to the hospital to visit a patient.
"All maternity women who have questions or need emergency advise, please phone 07500952636 instead."
The spokesperson added: "Staff are working really hard to continue to care for patients and we will provide an update when we have one."
