Officers are appealing for witnesses to a collision in Wroughton yesterday morning (30/12) which left a man suffering serious injuries.
Officers were called to the collision in Wharf Road near the junction with Hay Lane at approximately 7.30am.
A Mitsubishi SpaceStar and Toyota Aygo were involved in a head on collision.
The driver of the Toyota, a man in his 30s, was taken to Southmead Hospital in a serious condition.
The driver of the Mitsubishi - a man in his 20s, and two children aged one and three, who were passengers in the vehicle, were taken to the Great Western Hospital. One of the children is believed to have suffered a broken arm. None of their injuries are believed to be life threatening.
The road was closed at the junction with Mill Lane and Salthrop Road for approximately six hours while those involved were treated by paramedics and taken to hospital, and to allow for a collision investigation to take place.
It reopened at approximately 1.30pm.
Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone who may have dash cam footage of the collision, to get in touch via 101. Quote log number 65 of December 30.
