Women who are at least 10 weeks pregnant and parents of children under four years could be entitled to free food and infant formula.

Swindon Borough Council is inviting people to find out whether they qualify for help from the NHS Healthy Start scheme.

A council spokesperson said: "The NHS pre-paid Healthy Start card can be used to buy fruit, vegetables, milk and infant formula."

People can also use their card to collect free vitamins from distribution points across Swindon including:

- The Meadow, Leigh Road, SN2 5DE

- Reuben George, Royston Road, SN3 2FD

- GrowBaby, Penzance Drive, SN5 7JL

- The Community Fridge, Cricklade Road, SN2 1AA-Sanford House, Sanford Street, SN1 1HE

The spokesperson added: "If you’re eligible, you’ll be sent a Healthy Start card that you can use in some UK shops. Money will also be added onto this card every four weeks."
