The police are appealing for information from the public after a large quantity of waste was dumped on a road in Highworth.
The force received a call from a driver yesterday - 13 January - after they had collided with the waste, which was completely blocking the road in Fresden.
Dumped material consisted of kitchen units, stoneworks and other general waste.
A police spokesperson said: "We believe the waste may have been dumped by a flatbed truck at approximately 6pm on January 12 and we’d urge anyone with information as to who may be responsible to get in touch.
"We’d also like to say a big thank you to the local gamekeepers who assisted in removing the rubbish with their JCB.
"Anyone with information should call 101 and quote crime reference number 54220004024."
