Officers are combing the scene in woodland off Medbourne Lane, close to Junction 15.
This comes after 'old' human remains were discovered.
It is understood that it could take weeks for the remains to be identified and specialist officers are combing the scene currently.
Officers are expected to remain at the scene over the next few days and will update as soon as they have more information.
