Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced his resignation.

Speaking outside 10 Downing Street, Mr Johnson said: "I want you to know how sad I am to be giving up the best job in the world, but them's the breaks."
He will remain in office until a new Conservative Party leader is selected in the autumn.
Mr Johnson said: "It is clearly now the will of the Parliamentary Conservative Party that there should be a new leader of that party and therefore a new Prime Minister, and I've agreed with Sir Graham Brady, the chairman of our backbench MPs, that the process of choosing that new leader should begin now.
"The timetable will be announced next week and I have today appointed a Cabinet to serve, as I will, until a new leader is in place."
Mr Johnson thanked the electorate for giving him what he described as a strong mandate in the 2019 General Election, and pledged that the Government would continue to support Ukraine and increase opportunities for people in Britain.
