Swindon Police are investigating a serious sexual assault which is alleged to have happened in the area of Lawns Woods in Swindon on Thursday night.
A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rape and has since been released on police bail.
The victim is being supported and inquiries are currently ongoing. It’s believed the victim and suspect are known to each other.
As part of the investigation police cordoned off Lawn Woods and asked members of the public to avoid the area. The cordon was removed on Friday evening.
