Police officers investigating the death of Lee Starr at Foxhill motocross near Wanborough are appealing for witnesses.

Emergency services were called to the Stubble Field at around 9.15pm on Thursday evening - 22 August - following a report that a man in his thirties had been assaulted and received significant injuries.

He was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol but died on Sunday 25 August.

Ben Starr, 34, of Woodside Avenue, Ripley, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent. He appeared in court on Saturday 31 August and has been released on court bail until his next appearance at Swindon Crown Court on 27 September.

DCI Phil Walker from the Major Crime Investigation Team said in a message to the public: "Our thoughts are with Lee's family at this difficult time, and they are being supported by specialist officers.

"This was a busy event, and we believe many people may have witnesses the incident. If you did see what happened or have images or video footage of the incident which might help us to piece together what happened, please contact us."
