Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a Swindon man was assaulted whilst riding his bicycle.
At approximately 4.40pm on November 24, a man in his 30s was cycling home along the cycle route 45 which stretches from Westmead Industrial Estate, past Shaw Forest and to the junction of Thamesdown Drive and Purton Road
As he was approximately 300 metres away from Thamesdown Drive, he cycled past two males who kicked his bike, forcing him to fall to the ground causing significant bruising to his arm, chest and legs. Officers said fortunately, the victim was wearing a helmet otherwise his injuries could have potentially been much more serious.
The suspects were walking towards Thamesdown Drive. The first man is described as white, skinny build, aged in his 20s and around 5 ft 8 inches tall. He is believed to have been wearing a grey hoodie and grey trousers. The second suspect is described as a white male, aged between 16 - 18, approximately 5 ft 10 inches tall and wearing rectangular black rimmed glasses and a tracksuit with a pattern on the chest area.
A police spokesperson said: "Were you in the area at the time of the incident? Can you recall seeing the victim on his bike or pushing it along after due to the damage caused? Do you recall seeing the two suspects walking in the area or do you recognise the descriptions given? "
