Back to School arts and crafts event to be held at Regent Street Metro Bank store on Sunday 23 August. Kids will be able to get crafty in store where it’s safe to do so, or at home
On Sunday 23 August, Metro Bank, the UK’s community bank, will be hosting its annual Back to School event, inviting children and their families to take part in a craft activity which can be completed in store, or at home.
Between 12pm – 4pm every child who visits the Regent Street Metro Bank store will be given a free goody bag full of back to school themed crafts and may even get the chance to meet the bank’s fun-loving mascot, Metro Man.
Metro Bank champions financial education and wellbeing, delivering its free financial education programme for schools and youth groups in Key Stage 2 and 3. The bank is proud to have educated more than 203,000 kids through Money Zone since launching the programme.
Metro Bank is known for its family-friendly approach to banking and last month celebrated its 10thbirthday since opening its first store – as the first high street bank to open in more than 100 years. In the past decade the bank has helped kids make over 600,000 crafts – from Easter bunny ears to Halloween pumpkins – at the bank’s regular family events.

Social distancing remains in place, and we’ll be taking extra health and safety precautions so kids can enjoy our free crafts in store where it is safe to do so, or to take them away and have fun at home. All Metro Bank stores are operating alongside social distancing guidelines, with a number of health and safety measures in place to keep customers and colleagues safe.
