Motorbike thieves sought after bike abandoned in Buckhurst Field

Yesterday afternoon (19/05), officers on patrol in the Park South area of Swindon spotted two teenage males pushing a red motorcycle across Buckhurst Field.

On seeing the officers the two dropped the bike and ran off.

The motorcycle, which had been reported as stolen from the North Swindon area earlier that day, has now been reunited with its owner.
Sgt Richard Fay from Swindon Neighbourhood Team said: “We would like to speak to anybody who may have been in the area of Buckhurst Field when the motorcycle was abandoned.
“Did you see or hear anything suspicious, anyone acting suspiciously or two males running from the area?
“If you have information that may help, please contact us on 101 quoting crime reference number 149 of the 19 May 2020.”
