North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson has voiced strong support for Prime Minister Boris Johnson ahead of the confidence vote later today.
The vote in the Commons has been prompted by the decision of at least 54 Conservative MPs to request it.
Although most political commentators expect the Prime Minister to survive the vote, the fact that one has been called is thought likely by many to damage his reputation - a reputation already shaken by the so-called Partygate affair.
However, Mr Tomlinson is unequivocal in his backing of the party leader.
He said: "I will be voting for the PM.
"We won seats up and down the country because of the PM. Seats we have never won with any other Party leader. On the key issues that matter; Brexit, the vaccine, Ukraine and employment – the PM has delivered."
