South Swindon MP Robert Buckland presents award certificates to 'local health heroes' as part of NHS at 70

South Swindon MP, Robert Buckland, visited staff at Great Western Hospital yesterday and presented NHS70 Parliamentary Certificates to those he nominated for national awards.

Robert Buckland is one of the many MPs across England to nominate NHS staff he believes have made a major difference to local health and care services in the local area.

 

Robert explained: “Over the past 70 years, the NHS has provided vital health care across the UK, this could not have been achieved without our NHS staff who devote their time to caring for others.

 

“I would like to thank all of the wonderful staff at Great Western Hospital for their hard work and dedication, which makes a real difference to the lives of so many in our town.”

 

The following staff were recognised for their outstanding achievements and presented with NHS70 Certificates:

 

•The Excellence in Cancer Care Award – Cancer Nurse Consultant, Lyndel Moore

•The Care and Compassion Award – Mortuary and Bereavement Services Manager, Sammi Cunningham

•The Patient and Public Involvement Award – The Neonatal Team

•The Lifetime Achievement Award – Nurse Consultant, Chris Pearce
