South Swindon Parish Council is to hold its first Volunteer day on Saturday, 26 March.
It will run from 10am to 3.30pm at TWIGS in the Manor Garden Centre on Cheney Manor Road.
A parish council spokesperson said: "The day is intended to allow those already volunteering and those interested in volunteering to consider how we might work together to improve our communities.
"There will be plenty of opportunity to discuss ideas and look at ways of moving projects forwards.
"Lunch will be provided, and we will end the day with afternoon tea.
"Places are limited and we are aiming to get a good range of people."
