Metal poles were allegedly used in an attempted attack on Swindon petrol station workers this morning - August 4.
Swindon Police were called at about 8.20am to what a spokesperson described as disorder at the Texaco garage on Queens Drive.
They were told that two men had arrived in a van and attempted to assault car wash workers.
Officers arrived soon after the call and arrested two men on suspicion of affray. A 23-year-old and 27-year-old from Swindon are currently in custody at Gablecross Police Station.
Sgt Joe Senior said: "Our officers reacted quickly to the call and managed to apprehend two suspects.
"I appreciate this location is on a busy main road and in a residential area and members of the public may have seen what happened.
"I want to reassure people that we believe both parties were known to each other and no-one was hurt during the incident."
