A public Q&A has launched on the Wiltshire Police website today in response to the Covid19 pandemic.

Chief Constable Kier Pritchard and Police and Crime Commissioner Angus Macpherson will be answering questions from members of the public through the website.

Questions could range from the impact of the pandemic on day-to-day policing and how you may notice a difference in your neighbourhood, to how Wiltshire Police has been working as a responsible employer to protect our officers and staff during such difficult times.

Chief Constable Pritchard said: “This is a great opportunity for local residents to ask anything that may be on their mind in relation to the global pandemic and how this has affected policing here in Wiltshire.

“I know these have been unprecedented times and no doubt many people will have questions they’d like the answers to. Myself and the commissioner felt this would be a great way to interact with the public and at the same time, answer some of the most burning issues.”

Mr Macpherson added: “If you have questions, I’d encourage you to use this opportunity to get involved – we are looking forward to engaging with our communities as best as we can over the coming days.”

If you have questions for those leading the Force then please go to our website to fill in our online form.

A selection of the questions, along with the answers from the Chief and the PCC, will be published via a public video on our website and social media in due course.

If your question isn’t covered in this video, then you will receive a response privately.

The Q&A will remain open until 9am on Monday morning (1 June).
