Prolific teenage burglar sentenced to three years in prison

A prolific burglar has been sentenced to three years in prison after breaking into a home in Swindon.

Frankie O’Dwyer, from Baydon in Wiltshire, stole jewellery from the property on Grosvenor Road, Swindon after smashing his way into the address during the afternoon of Tuesday 5 February 2019.

The 18-year-old pleaded guilty to burglary at Swindon Crown Court where he also admitted further burglary offences committed across Wiltshire and Swindon between August 2018 and February 2019.

Detective Constable Jared Yalden, Community Tasking Team in Swindon, said: “I want to praise the actions of our officers who located the suspect promptly and in possession of the stolen items.

“This case is another example of how determined Wiltshire Police and the Community Tasking Team are to bring those responsible for these types of crimes to justice”.
