The National Self Build & Renovation Show will be held on Friday and Saturday, 23 and 24 July.

The event is billed as ideal for people thinking about extending their home, renovating a tired property or finding a plot and building a brand new place to live.

Visitors to the show at the National Self Build & Renovation Centre, Lydiard Fields, are promised live demonstrations, seminars and an unrivalled line up of experts on hand to share their advice.

The team say they have been working hard to put together a line-up for the show which is educational, inspiring and relaxing for visitors, and the NSBRC is registered with Visit England as featuring all the social distancing and additional cleaning measures visitors expect to see.

NSBRC’s managing director Harvey Fremlin said: "Whatever stage of your self-build or renovation project you are at, this event really is a ‘must attend!’

"We have produced almost 300 hours of online content since the first lockdown and we are so excited to see people returning in person, enjoying engaging face to face and discussing their projects."

Visitors will be able to enjoy a range of live seminars, case study interviews, live demos and free one-to-one consultations with selected experts, and there will be over 250 exhibitors showcasing the latest building products and services.

Mr Fremlin's tips for an enjoyable visit are:

- Arrive early to ensure you can book onto our educational tours and meet your chosen experts

- Bring your plans and drawings – it will help the experts and exhibitors give you the best advice

- Bring your headphones! To enjoy the educational tours, simply bring your headphones and plug into your smart phone

- Bring your mask! This is a covid-19 secure event and everyone - staff, exhibitors and visitors - will be required to wear a face covering

- Book early – numbers may have to be limited, so early booking via the website is strongly advised

Over 250 exhibitors will be showcasing the latest products and technologies, with experienced representatives on hand to demonstrate, answer questions and offer professional advice.

Guided tours of the NSBRC’s educational zones, featuring a life size 'Renovation House' and 'New Build Journey' are described as the perfect way to help visualise products as parts of finished projects.

The NSBRC's own team of impartial experts, along with architects, project managers, designers, planners and eco consultants, will be on hand to meet for free one-to-one sessions throughout the show.

Free advance tickets can be booked at www.nsbrc.co.uk and there will be free parking at the venue.
